  • Condition: Bottle in excellent condition - no chips, scratches or dings. However, a lot of the paint on the embossed matador and bull has worn off or it might not have been completely painted t begin with. It could easily be repainted. Label on the front is in very good condition, just slightly faded. Don't have the original cork or stopper. Light staining in places on the inside of the bottle. Please look closely at all the photos for the condition details and judge for yourself. Please ask questions if something is not clear.

    Description

    This is a Vintage Hand Painted Banjo Shaped Glass Bottle of
    Crema De Cafe by Destilerias Escat of Barcelona, Spain. Exact
    age unknown, guessing from either the 1950s or 1960s. The bottle
    is Empty.
    These were sold at Bull Fighting Rings in Spain. There were many
    varieties of Brandy and Liquors produced by Escat and bottled in
    the Banjo Shaped bottles that were hand painted over the embossed
    Matador and Bull.
    The bottle is just about 10 1/2" tall, 5" wide and 1 3/4" deep. It is made
    of thick, heavy glass. It weighs 1 Lb. - 14 Oz.
    The back of the bottle is marked: "DESTILERIAS ESCAT S A, FUNDADAS
    1864, BARCELONA ESPANA, ENVASE REGISTRADO No. 20427".
