    Description

Up for auction a vintage 1970s delft blue windmill liquor bottle from Rynbende's Distilleries in Holland.  This porcelain bottle held Kümmel, also called kummel or kimmel, is a sweet, colorless liquor flavored with caraway seed, cumin and fennel.
The bottle measures 5 7/8" high from top of windmill blade to bottom, 3 1/4" wide from side to side, the bottom is 1 15/16" in diameter and weighs 4.8 ounces prior to packing for shipping.  Will ship in a 7x7x5 box.
This piece is in good used vintage condition without cracks, chips, flakes or repairs.  The original labels are worn, rubbed, discolored, faded and the top paper label is torn and part of it is missing.  The distillery label has a rub mark in the middle where the blades of the windmill rubbed the paper.  There is crazing, some staining and the unglazed porcelain is discolored.  The top of the bottle moves in circle, but does not come out of bottle, and the bottle is empty.
