Very nice / original offering.  Once posted along a forest service road in the Modoc National Forest  = SOUTH FORK EAST CREEK TRAIL - PATTERSON STATION 6 (MILES / ARROW).  Located in extreme / rural Northern California, close to the Oregon border.  Approx. 15-20 miles north of the city of Alturas - county seat.
SIZE: 21 BY 5.5 BY 1.75 INCHES . . . This piece of surfaced lumber is of old growth California Redwood.  Check out the tight grain and it is clear - KNOT FREE.  Lettering still has faint red color.   Each end has a dowel, which was used for joining the sign to a post.   Great historical piece and it has not been modified - AS FOUND.
