Ludwig Striders 6" plastic Bongo Head - for vintage Ludwig/Slingerland

Description

This drum head is an obsolete and out-of-production size. It is made to fit certain drums made by Ludwig, Slingerland, and others in the 1940s-1970s that used standard drum hoops in whole-inch sizes. The head has a deep collar so that the rim of the hoop lies below the bearing edge of the shell.
There are two indentations on the head. These will smooth out when the head is mounted.
Note: Head and drum sizes are not always standardized, so please take some measurements to make sure these heads will fit:
• The outer diameter of the hoop is 6 9/16". The inner diameter of the part of the counter-hoop where the hoop rests should be at least this width.
• The inner diameter of the hoop is 6 1/32". The outer diameter of the shell and wrap should be no wider than this.
• The diameter of the flat surface of the head is 5 3/4".
The diameter of the highest part of the bearing edge should be close to this, though there is some leeway here.
