    Description

    Absolutely Beautiful Chinese Scholar Stool/Table in Elm and Rattan in excellent condition with some minor repairs. This piece functions as a side or coffee table in either traditional or modern decor. This fine example of Chinese craftsmanship from the late 17th or early 18th century is from the private collection of April Shen well known Antiques Dealer of Chinese Furniture. As she states--"The square stool is from the 17-18th century period. It is made of Chinese elm. It has a nice finish on it. It is a meditation stool which is often larger in size and is not a regular stool. It is a fairly rare piece with a nice classical design." We Have moved to Bend, Or from the Bay area and, unfortunately have to downsize our collection of Fina Art and Antiques. We originally paid ,800 for this piece.
