ARKANSAS WINE BOTTLE-Altus-Mary Doerpinghaus-Paper Label-1935 Tax Stamp
Offered is a selection consisting of one Arkansas Wine bottle, dating from around 1940 or so. The lot includes:
1)—A 9” tall, round ,wine bottle, embossed around heel "4/5 Pint",  having the original body label, age faded, reading "Pride Of The Ozarks Brand / Arkansas Apple Wine / Manufactured And Bottled By / Mary's Winery / B.W.No.6 Dist.11 Altus Ark. / Mary F. Doerpinghaus, Prop.". Original rusted metal cap. Bottle contains original Arkansas Wine Tax Stamp for 1/10th Gal, tax stamp series issued in 1935. The bottom is embossed with a "J" inside a keystone  logo .
Condition is as shown, some areas of label missing but still very legible, an interesting piece of Arkansas Wine district history.
