Description

\Beautiful hardwood Chinese Kang or low table. PHOEBE NANMU or pear wood. Style is Ming.
Simple, clean lines. Same apron design all the way around. Inward curved
legs. Came out of an estate in Connecticut with many antique Chinese
furniture. Chinese joinery of mortice and tenon with stub tenon for legs.
See underside of table for joinery and the age of the table.
There is an age crack on the top with a smaller one
and there are 6 tiny nail at the end of the inner boards just
before outer frame that are not original to table.
The wood does not have a finish on it but is oiled.
Natural amber sheen of wood.
