  • Condition: As is typical with many of the antique Chinese pieces, where applicable some of the hardware may have been replaced. There is general wear, and may be some shrinkage and age cracks that is typical for a piece this old, especially considering the climate difference. We feel these flaws add to the character of the piece and are preferable to replacement during restoration, Sometimes it is necessary to repair or replace certain components of the furniture, but that is typically done with antique wood. We try to be as clear as possible in the photos attached, however we are limited in the number of photos we can include, so it may not be possible to show every detail.     Antique Chinese 34 inch Square Coffee Kang Table.
    This square Kang table makes a great coffee table. It has a flush panel top with a flat edge and a small bead at the bottom of the edge. Below the top is a recessed waist. There is an straight apron below the waist that connects to the legs. A bead detail runs under the apron and down the inside of the legs. At the center of the apron on each side is a small carving with a Yin Yang Symbol in the center. Below the carvings is a small wood piece of wood to add some interest to the simple lines. As can be seen in the photos one of these pieces is missing, but we repair the table with a similar piece before shipping.
    There is a humpback stretcher  between the legs. The legs have carved horse-hoof style feet.
    This table is finished in a light / medium color lacquer. there is some wear and shrinkage cracks that are consistent with the age of the piece.
