    Description

    An Almost Uncirculated 1849 Braided Hair half cent. Not a lot of half cents were produced. Redbook lists the mintage for the1849 Large Date half cent at 39,864. This 1849 Braided hair half cent is graded AU 50, corroded, by ANACS. The coin is a chocolate brown with a small rough obverse area as seen in the photo and noted on the holder.
